The first OENOBIO Conference took place at the University of Agronomical Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, in Bucharest, Romania on November 18th, 2019.

The theme was : "PROGRESS AND CHALLENGES OF ORGANIC VITICULTURE AND WINEMAKING"

 

Purpose of the conference

- to disseminate in Romania the components of the project (organisation of summer schools, online learning platform, a future international master OENOBIO)

- to raise awareness regarding the economic importance, social impact and implications for environment and health of the organic viti-viniculture products, which in Romania are yet to gain mass popularity.)

 

Benefits

The activity enabled mutual knowledge of the needs the companies have in particular topics and the tools and resources that the academics can offer to them in terms of education materials and research.

 

Audience

The conference was attended by around 130 people, from various professional fields:

- companies,
- wineries and cellars,
- inter-professional sector,
- decision-makers,
- researchers,

as well as to consumers interested in sustainable production methods for the benefit of personal health and environment protection.
